Within the image above there is a jar of marmite that is being tilted to the side with liquid splurging out of the rim of the top of the jar itself. The colours of the jar itself are unedited however they may have been slightly enhanced so that the jar stands out from the coloured background itself. The effect of the coloured background being the same colour as the yellow on the jar enhances the colour on the jar making the jar stand out from the background mores than deflating it and blending in with the background. This is also down to the placement and angle of the jar itself facing the camera, the slight tilt of the jar shows depth of the jar exposing the three diminutional aspects in the image. The effect created by the dripping of the marmite down the side of the bottle and the puddle on the bottom of the image surrounding the tilted jar is a main aspect that draws the focus of the onlooker, drawn them to the centre of the photograph. Grummetts High key set up here aids to the depth of field within the image, the soft box creates highlights and defines the shadows and low lights within the image creating a crisp and clear image as a result. As well as this the technique of reflective photography is introduced in the pool of liquid surrounding the jar towards the bottom of the image, This again is another major aspect that draws the onlookers attention into the centre of the photograph engaging them for a longer period of time. The use of the coloured background closely links to my style of trade that i have interpreted and produced a range of images of. Within some of my images i have used pastel and vibrant colours that are both complimentary and contrasting to the subject of the image itself. furthermore i will take inspiration from Grummett by using two or more different photography techniques within my image to captivate the onlooker more.
